The Story of the Tiny Uncle

by Lars Eric Brossner and Thomas von Brömmsen

"Once upon a time there was a tiny uncle. The tiny uncle was very lonely. Nobody cared about him, even though he was very nice. Everybody thought he was too small. And also they thought he looked silly. One day - spring had just started - he pinned some notes on the trees. On these notes he had written: TINY UNCLE SEEKS FRIEND! Then he sat down on his stairs and waited. He waited and waited. Ten days and nights he waited. During the day the sun shone and the first snowdrops peeped out of the earth. In the middle of the tenth night the tiny uncle grew tired and had a little nap. But suddenly ... he was woken up by a cold nose on his hands. There was a big dog with a nicely curved tail sitting next to him."

The story of the tiny uncle is a poetic play without many words. It works with stylistic devices, which are related to silent film. The action of the play is accompanied by a string quartet and a narrator.
