He, who always finds faults in another, is awfully at fault himself! But something is distorted in the old swimming pool: Is it the world and worldly objects, or is it the human being? In the end this depends on the observer's point of view. What power he has! It could have been Irene Uredat, who gave us this distorted view with her sky blue bathroom wall. Possibly it was just luck. Suddenly were are pushed out of our boring ordinariness and without any preparation into Gotthart Kuppel's view of lyrical children's theater.

Concrete Poetic: To destroy language, break it off and apart and put it together again like a jigsaw, seemingly absurd, crazy but really effective. This is what dadaists like Jandl with their sense of humor copied from children. Shape and content of a poem exist equally next to one another. How to put this on stage is shown by the two character actors Renate Obermaier and Heinz Spagl in the most charming way.
A red woman with five little handbags kind meets a kindly comical man. In their talk the unusual, deliberate nonsense has a rejuvenating power. Such theater can give courage, show tolerance and satisfy curiosity. Everything you are used to seeing or thinking is questioned and turned upside down. Understanding is possible for one who is not limited by his traditions and expectations and has an open mind for the bizarre .

This production in the Theater im Marienbad is educating for children and for adults. A study in an absolute artistic- aesthetical sense, it shows once more that art fulfills a demonstrative and guiding function in our society.
