This production is based on original biblical texts from the Song of Songs, the prophetic Book Hosea and passages of Hebbels drama “Judith”. God lures and flatters, rages and damns, threatens and promises. But man turns his back on him, closes eyes and ears, he mocks God. So God becomes violent - because he loves man. In Navid Kermani’s version the Book Hosea tells the relationship between God and man as a story of an unhappy love.
